What a wonderful experience!, September 27, 2004
I must begin by saying that my fiance and I were extremely nervous about
purchasing such a costly item over the internet, sight unseen. However, I'm glad we did!
We purchased the diamond,
a 1.03 VS2 E-color, about a month ago. We took the stone into
Stones Jewelers to have it sent off to be set and the employees at Stones were amazed at
it's beauty and the excellent value that we got on it. A diamond of equal specs would
have been approximately $1,500 MORE if it was purchased at Stones or any other local
jeweler.
I also feel that I need to make a comment about Barry Kaplan. As I mentioned
earlier, my fiance and I were very reluctant to make a purchase of this magnitude
over the internet and because of this I was constantly e-mailing Barry and asking
questions, etc. He was very kind and informative. He was also very speedy in his
replies to my e-mails and phone calls.
I would recommend this website (and I already have!) to ANY of my friends that are
looking for a diamond. The customer service is excellent and the diamond is beautiful
beyond words.
If you are thinking about purchasing a diamond but you have not yet done so, please
take the comments that are posted on GemNation seriously. Because of their overhead,
local jewelers will most likely be unwilling to match internet prices like these. I have
a friend who is a jeweler and she wasn't even able to get us a diamond with these
specifications for the price that Gem Nation was offering. If you are still skeptical
