Since 1833, when the inventive Charles Antoine LeCoultre established this venerable watchmaker, it has produced some of the most outstanding and innovative timepieces. It wasn't until 1931, however, that the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand rose to international fame. It was then that the Reverso - an ingenious reversible watch - was unveiled to the public.

With its distinctive black-coated crown and pushpieces, the Reverso Squadra Chronograph GMT Black immediately asserts its sporting nature through its chronograph functions in keeping with the finest Jaeger-LeCoutre traditions. The hour and minutes are shown on the main dial, and the second time zone on a 24-hour display appears through an aperture at 6 o'clock. Two other square counters enable readings of the chronograph indications – minutes at 3 o'clock and hours at 9 o'clock. The large date window at 12 o'clock is linked to the first time zone.
Here too, the red color used for the chronograph seconds hand, the figure 12 in the hour counter and the 30 in the minute counter, immediately highlights these reference markings to ensure a clear hierarchy among the various functions. Elegance is placed in the service of functionality to facilitate immediate legibility of the information without interrupting performances, in accordance with the established criteria of the Reverso code of ethics. Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 754 with its 65-hour power reserve is housed within an 18-carat pink gold case that is water-resistant to 5 atmospheres – a particularly useful provision, since no-one ever knows where their next feats may be staged. |
