Since 1833, when the inventive Charles Antoine LeCoultre established this venerable watchmaker, it has produced some of the most outstanding and innovative timepieces. It wasn't until 1931, however, that the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand rose to international fame. It was then that the Reverso - an ingenious reversible watch - was unveiled to the public.

The Reverso Squadra Hometime Black in its gold case features the perfect intelligibility one expects from the ideal travel watch. It precludes any confusion by being equipped with the exclusive Hometime/Travel time system, developed and patented by Jaeger-LeCoultre. The reference time is displayed by a red openworked hand serving as an immediate reminder of the time in one's place of residence. A rectangular aperture at 9 o'clock displays the indispensable am/pm indication to help the user find his way through the maze of time zones, while the symmetrically arranged opening directly opposite at 3 o'clock is dedicated to the travel time.
Driven by the mechanical Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 977 movement, the Reverso Squadra Hometime Black features a number of technical innovations reinforcing its ruggedness and reliability: a balance-bridge screwed on either side to the mainplate to ensure enhanced stability, as well as two catches to avoid any distortion of the mainspring even in the case of violent impacts. The Reverso Squadra Hometime Black thus plays its way across time zones and continents, traveling the world in step with polo seasons and competitions: from Argentina and summer in the southern hemisphere, to hard-fought matches on the playing fields of England. |
