Monocounter dial at 6 o'clock records minutes around outer circle. The first 30 minutes are indicated via red minute markers. The second 30 minutes are indicated via an inner track of blue minute markers. Hours and half-hours are read off another concentric inner circle (up to 12 hours). Half-hour diamond markers are used to determine which track should be read off on the outer circle for the minutes. If the blue-lacquered brass hand is situated above the diamond marker, the inner blue minutes are read off via the red-lacquered brass hand. Chronograph incorporates flyback feature. Chrono is activated by pusher at 2 o'clock and reset/flyback at 4 o'clock. |

Gemnation provides FREE bracelet resizing before shipment. If you know the size of the wearer's wrist, please let us know in the 'Special Request' section at the time of checkout and we will size the watch appropriately. Removed links WILL BE SENT WITH THE WATCH. Sizing is not an exact science; bracelet links vary in size and removing too many links or too few links may make the fit too small or too big. We therefore cannot guarantee the length of the bracelet or that it will be equivalent to the specified length. As a result, many of our customers take their watches to a QUALIFIED watchmaker to do the sizing with their watch in hand; expect to pay in the region of $5 - $25 for this service.
Watch bracelets that Gemnation resizes are still returnable. Unfortunately if an outside party is utilized to resize the strap, we can no longer accept the watch for return or exchange. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from resizing the watch bracelet. If this is the case, we will notify you before shipping the watch. Sizing requests are usually completed within 24-48 hours. If overnight shipping is selected in addition to bracelet sizing, please allow for additional time, or contact us beforehand to provide us with sufficient time to accommodate your request.

About Patek Philippe
Watchmaker Antoni Patek started making pocket watches in 1839 in Geneva, along with his fellow Polish migrant Franciszek Czapek. They separated in 1844, and in 1845 Patek joined with the French watchmaker Adrien Philippe, inventor of the keyless winding mechanism. Patek Philippe & Co was founded in 1851.
Patek Philippe made the first wrist-watch in 1868. The company pioneered the perpetual calendar, split-seconds hand, chronograph, and minute repeater in watches.
Like other Swiss manufacturers, the company produces mostly mechanical movements of the automatic and manual wind variety, but has produced quartz watches in the past, and a digital wrist watch, the Ref. 3414.

The company produces about 40,000 watches annually. Patek Philippe has been owned by the Stern family since 1932. It is presently run by Thierry Stern.
No other watch brand compares in prestige to the storied Patek Philippe. While brands like A. Lange & Sohne, Jaeger LeCoultre and Vacheron Constantin may aspire to the coveted reputation of Patek Philippe, none come close to the desirability of owning a Patek. Watches produced by Patek are considered by many collectors to be recession proof. Timepieces produced as recently as the 1950s and 1960s routinely sell for over a million dollars at auction.
