Brand Information: Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron traces its history back to 1755 when Jean-Marc Vacheron established his watchmaking firm in Geneva. Francois Constantin joined in 1819 creating Vacheron & Constantin. In 1974, Vacheron & Constantin officially dropped the ampersand from the company name, although its wristwatches had already engraved with the newer title since the 1950s. Among its multitude of watchmaking firsts, Vacheron Constantin invented the winding crown. Today, Vacheron Constantin manufactures superb complications and exquisite wristwatches coveted by even the most discerning collector.

Vacheron Constantin, the world’s oldest continuous watch manufacture, celebrates the tremendous success of its sporty line, Overseas, with its first-ever limited edition timepiece specially designed for the US market. The Overseas collection, now in its 11th illustrious year, has grown in popularity since its inception due to its impressive, dynamic look, harmonious lines and technical and aesthetic purity. To celebrate its continued success, Vacheron Constantin has created a special US edition, limited to 100 pieces. This totally new design is sure to satisfy global travelers with an appetite for casual yet elegant statement pieces—the Overseas is a 42 mm, stainless steel chronograph with unique accents of red on the sleek black oxidized dial. This new dial mixes strong design elements with an active aesthetic. The Overseas Collection, a tribute to the travel spirit and global pioneering mindset of the brands founders, Jean-Marc Vacheron and Francois Constantin, is legendary.
Until now, the Overseas Chronograph was only available on a bracelet. For the first time, the Overseas Special Edition US will be offered with two straps, the first is a supple black alligator strap with elegant red brick stitching, and the second marks a premiere for Vacheron Constantin, a handsome black rubber strap, perfect for those who appreciate the luxury of options with their timepieces. The case of the watch is 42mm in diameter, which allows for an easy-to-read dial- black oxidized with red and white accents, there is a large date calendar in twin apertures at twelve. The hours and minutes are 18K white gold baton with white luminescent material.
The Overseas Special US Edition Chronograph has a self-winding, mechanical movement, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it is, as always, precisely hand-finished, an emblem of all Vacheron Constantin movements. It has chronograph functions of hours, minutes and seconds at six, and two totalizers, to 30 minutes and 12 hours, at 3 and 9 respectively, along with a sapphire glass anti-reflective coating on one side. The watch is built to withstand pressures equivalent to 500 feet under water. The stainless steel case's screw-locked crown and pushpieces, ensure sturdy protection from outside dangers.
The Overseas Special US Edition Chronograph is sure to become a new star in the category, with its classic American style. It carries all the distinctive Overseas features, smooth lines, comfortable strap and the Maltese cross and Overseas emblems. All Special US Edition Overseas are numbered and engraved 'Overseas Special US Edition 100 Pieces', as a way to acknowledge this celebratory timepiece.
