I had a wonderful experience with Gem Nation. I learned of them by typing in
"diamond" on Google.
I bought a round
diamond solitaire
from them. It was a
1.01 carat E-color VS2-clarity diamond with Ideal cut and Excellent Polish and Symmetry.
It cost me $5,670. They sell
engagement rings on their website but they didn't have
the exact one I wanted. So I contacted them and they told me they could get me exactly
what I wanted. I sent them an e-mail picture of the perfect ring. I was totally
satisfied with the ring and the overall service. I had the ring appraised after it
came and the jeweler said that the diamond is exactly what it says on the
GIA certificate.
The platinum ring was beautifully crafted. The price I paid
was the lowest on
the Internet (Gem Nation guarantees that they have the lowest price or they'll
refund the difference). It was also tax free because they shipped out of state.
Besides the price, I also enjoyed the selection. Their stock is very large,
but not so much that you it's overwhelming. You can basically find any combination of
Cut,
Clarity,
Color
and Carat that you're looking for and I found that Gem Nation
had a lot of Ideal or Excellent cut stones.
Gem Nation has a
great education section
on their site too. Even if you're
not buying from them, check it out. Their service is very friendly and responsive.
Many of bricks-and-mortar jewelers told me to be very careful about buying
on the Internet. I personally think they are scared, because places like Gem Nation
are so much less expensive and they are probably losing a lot of business to the Internet.
