Hamilton is the longest surviving and most successful fine watch brand in the United States. It was founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892. Its Broadway Limited pocket watches became famous for unrivaled accuracy and reliability, and contributed to the reduction in railroad accidents. In the early part of the 20th century, Hamilton became the official supplier to the US Armed Forces. During WWII this partership led to the production of a million timepieces to assist in the war effort. Hamilton is also the proud pioneer of the world's first digital watch, which began timekeeping on May 6, 1970. Hamilton continues to manufacture superb timekeeping instruments that are attractively priced, precise, reliable and proudly American.
